Our newest release allows you to track the ranking or progression of your customers, using the Belt tracking app. This app is especially useful for businesses who require belt tracking - such as karate or jiu jitsu, however, stay tuned for additional updates which will allow other businesses to use this for challenges and more!

Belt Tracking

Do you run a martial arts studio, or any other kind of business that requires you to track the level and belt of customers? Thanks to our new app, this process just got a whole lot easier! Our new feature will allow you to easily track the levels of customers, bulk update or auto-promote customers to different belts and provide information to customers about their status should you choose. Read on for more details about how to get started today!
  1. Once you’ve turned on the app, you can begin creating your belt categories. You can have as many categories as you need (i.e. Karate & Jiu Jitsu, or kids, teens & adults), and you are able to create as belts or rankings within each category as you’d like. When creating a category, you will also get to select: if you would like to show the belts to customers (visible to them within the Momence app); if you want to enable auto-promotion (meaning customer belts would change automatically if they meet the criteria set - if turned off, promotions must happen manually); and if you want to enable promotion notifications to you or any of your staff.

  2. After creating a category, you will be prompted to add the different belts within that category.

    When creating a belt, you will have the ability to set the Promotion criteria. This is important if you are wanting auto-promotions to happen. You can decide if a customer is promoted based on number of visits, tenure, at least one of these, or both. Note that the counter for these criteria starts from when you add the belt into the system.

  3. Once you have a belt created, you can manually assign customers right from that page should you choose. This page will list all customers who have this particular belt, and you can click on any of the customers to see the ranking listed within their customer profile as well.

  4. Lastly, when using belt tracking, you have access to the Belt tracking report (under Analytics > Belt tracking). This report enables you to see all customers who have a belt in one place and which belt they have. Plus it also tracks any promotions that occurred and how (manually or automatically) and how far any customer is from their next promotion!
