Meet The R3finery
The R3finery is on a mission to help people move and live better. Founded by physical therapists Alix and Sara, the studio blends clinical expertise with mindful movement to support lasting, holistic change.
With over 30 years of combined experience, Alix and Sara bring a deep understanding of biomechanics into every class, integrating Pilates, yoga, and therapeutic techniques to create a safe, intentional, and empowering practice.
The challenge
After opening just before the pandemic, The R3finery leaned on tools like ClassPass to build early awareness. While ClassPass helped get new students in the door, especially from surrounding communities, it wasn’t without its drawbacks.
“At the time, we had a ton of ClassPass clients and we were only making about $14 a person on those visits,” says Alix. “It was just taking over.”
Beyond the revenue hit, the team knew that most ClassPass clients weren’t likely to convert to higher-value packages or long-term memberships. They needed a way to drive last-minute bookings that better aligned with their pricing model and their community’s needs.
The solution

“It felt like an in-house ClassPass,” says Alix. “But one that we could control and customize to better meet our needs. And it was super easy to turn on and get started.”

“We found that our audience responds best to a little more notice time,” Alix explains. “Once we adjusted our parameters to reflect that, we started seeing stronger results right away.”
The impact
With Spotfiller set up for success, The R3finery quickly began to see measurable impact. In just 90 days, the studio filled 18 additional spots and generated nearly $500 in incremental revenue, without any extra effort from the team.
“Some of those bookings came from clients we hadn’t seen in a while,” says Alix. “Others were from people who maybe wouldn’t have booked if they hadn’t gotten the reminder.”
